Animated movie clip for the song Ledňáčci (The kingfishers) by Vypsaná Fixa that I made together with Kuřeto (Robert Hrdina). He thought of the story, I made the rest - The design of characters and scenes and the full animation.
It took us about three months or 26 days in total.
Because people ask me frequently about this song, I decided to translate the lyrics, because you pretty much can't understand the happening unless you understand the lyrics. I also try to explain some bits of the story:
Legendary Kingfishers moved in a car with heads hanging down (meaning they were almost asleep)
The one who drove slept only rarely
Nothing was happening
Morning celebration for northern Czech was on radio
The clouds floated above, ice floated down

It lied down on the road, rising head
It had knife in it's belly

The movie clip goes with the lyrics quite well: Kingfishers meet the being, represented here by the stork (which is not totally random, but there is a different song from the same artists where they sing about a dead stork). The stork gets hit by a car, the car has no driver, as it's a character itself (call it an anthro car, or the Daemon Babaj), and before the bird got killed, it tried to pickup a wrapping of an ice cream called "Ledňáček". Actually, Kingfisher in Czech is named exactly like the icecream. Both words have base in "ice", and the word "ledňáček" in exact translation would be something like an "ice creature".
And the dog with "X"es as eyes is a dead dog, which you (and probably even most Czech people unless they are big fans of the music group) can't understand, comes from a very different song by the same artist. And that's it :)
